As others said, slightly inaccurate reading but I got it for the convenience and it doesn’t disappoint there. Hope they improve the calibration.I really like the look on my tank. It does read about one degree lower than the actual water. Easy to read, easy to set up.It’s definitely different tech. It is easy to use also touch screen buttons for different choices C or F and also a warning for set temperatures you can define. Overall has been a solid product and experience is great with installing onto the glass.My 60 gallon freshwater tank often has Oscars in it. They will grow to 8 inches and can break a glass thermometer floating in the tank or attached inside. Tried a digital thermometer and found it too hard to read. Brewing thermometer strips worked, but I often needed a flashlight to read the temperature.I just installed a Capetsma 3.2" diagonal model CA-01. $17.99 Installation was fairly easy. I did not set up the high and low limits. I just want this to tell the temperature in a way my old eyes can read it from a few feet away. It does that, and I think accurately. I've deducted one star because it arrived with only one CR0232 Lithium battery, not the two the deal promised..UPDATE: I ordered a second thermometer for my smaller tank. It arrived with the battery installed, plus one extra CR0232 lithum battery. That was a convenience, but the display already showed a temperature. That meant it had been operating since it was assembled at the factory. Was that just a few weeks ago, so the battery is still strong? Or was it many months ago, so the battery will soon need to be replaced. Rating stays at 4 stars.These products are not 100% accurate, still pretty close. I use alcohol thermometer to compare and this one has about +2 difference.The thermometer sticks to the glass using adhesive on the back. Make sure you clean the glass with alcohol and dry the glass before applying. Don't use window/glass cleaner to prepare the surface since they often leave a thin residue that could cause the thermometer to fall off over time. The display is easy to read. The accuracy of the thermometer is decent. The temperature accuracy is about +/- 1°F, that is more than enough for most aquariums.Love the large numbers.I installed this as soon as I got it. It's a nice little thermometer to use in conjunction with others. My analog thermometer reads a little higher than this one but I think the digital one is closer to the mark since I have an adjustable water heater that tracks with it well.The instructions for setup are great and you can switch between imperial and metric scales with one push. Plus, it comes with a spare battery which is nice.The thermometer is 7.5 cm square. The display is 6.5 x 4.5cm. The quite basic instructions are printed on the back of the box. It arrived with a lithium coin cell battery which lasted 2 weeks. However, there is a spare inlcuded. The red panel under the display is awkward to slip off in order to fit a battery. The large display is black numerals against a transparent background such that the display cannot be read unless the device is a viewed when attached to an illuminated aquarium or against a white background. It can only be viewed when directly facing it. So far it has been reasonably accurate. In short, this can only function as an aquarium thermometer and as such it is fine, except for the fact that it cannot be read unless the aquarium is illuminated.I wanted to test this product for accuracy so I placed another thermometer in my aquarium for a few hours and I am amazed it is very accurate despite being stuck on the outside of my glass aquarium! It’s easy to read as well ?I bought this thermometer to use on my 105l tank. When the tank temperature is a true 60 degrees centigrade, the thermometer reads 45.5 degrees. I thought it might be the battery so I changed it, still the same. Would not recommend.nice little item , better than them stick on stripsVor allem sehr gut im vorbei laufen ablesbar. Die Temperatur wurde mit einem Tauchthermometer und einem geeichten Thermometer von mir überprüft. Die Abweichung lag bei mir zumindest bei bis zu -0.2C° das ist für die Überwachung einer Aquariumtemperatur völlig ausreichend. 4 Sterne, wegen der leichten Abweichung, aber die ist o.k.Eine zusätzliche Ersatzbatterie lag bei mir dabei, nur wie man diese wechselt ist mir noch ein Rätsel.Selbst wenn Ihnen diese Rezension gefällt oder auch nicht, bitte ich Sie keine Bewertung abzugeben.1.
